No one needs to be hit over the head with holiday music (unless you're into that sort of thing) so when we heard Sundae + Mr. Goessl's interpretation of "I Wish You Love" our ears perked up. A song for all seasons (but particularly the season of love), this tune is a sweetness blast straight to the heart with some ear worms to boot. It makes sense that this duo is a couple (firstly because they've altered this song of heartbreak into an anthem of adoration and secondly because of they are locked in musically), but the "duo" part comes as a surprise considering the myriad of talents these 2 bring to the party...vocalist Kate Voss also takes on the role of playing Bass, Piano, & Wurlitzer while guitar wizard Jason Goessl displays both a straight ahead acoustic rhythm part as well as an electric sound that makes one question whether we are still on planet earth. With true vintage flare and rare charm, this track will make you involuntarily dance around your kitchen while baking a sugar cake. Sorry/not sorry.
